Watermark and export naming guide
Learn to batch watermark photos with text or a logo, adjust placement and opacity, save presets, and rename exports consistently for downloads, ZIP and the next tool.
From original to finished image
- Choose JPG, PNG or WebP images and select one in the preview list.
- Choose text or a logo. Enter your text and color, or select a PNG, JPG or WebP logo. Choose a position, opacity, size and margin, then inspect each image.
- Open Export settings to rename files. Leave Base name blank to retain the generated name, or enter a shared base. Add a prefix, suffix and optional sequence; inspect the filename preview.
- Choose output format and quality, then apply the watermark. Download individual results or a ZIP, or continue to another tool. Names also carry into the next tool.
Consistent placement across a batch
Size and margin are percentages of each image’s shorter edge. Logos preserve their aspect ratio. Text is reduced when necessary to fit inside the available area. Use the preview selector to inspect portrait and landscape images; there is no automatic subject detection.
Logo presets
Logos accept PNG, JPG and WebP up to 5 MB and 16 MP. They are normalized to PNG, reduced to at most 1024 pixels per side and stored with presets in this browser. A complex logo may still be too large to save: try a smaller or simpler asset. Saving can fail if browser storage is full; existing presets remain intact. Use transparent PNG for a logo without a rectangular background.
Names apply to every export
Rename controls are shared by compression, resizing, conversion, cropping, stitching and watermarking. The extension follows the exported format, not the text you enter. Example: base product, prefix shop-, sequence starting at 1 gives shop-product-001.png for PNG output. Unsafe filename characters are replaced, and case-insensitive duplicates get (2), (3) and so on. Names update without processing the image again.
Presets and the next step
Save a named preset to reuse watermark and export settings, including the logo. Older presets without naming rules reset naming to the default. To retain an exact custom filename, rename at the final step: the next tool may add its own tool suffix. When you change the watermark or image settings, process again before handing off the results.
Export quality
JPG uses a solid background; PNG and WebP can retain transparency. Watermarking re-encodes images and may increase file size. Inputs are limited to 50 MB and 40 MP each; output is limited to 8192 pixels per side and 16 MP. Resize large inputs first. A visible watermark is a branding aid, not a guarantee against copying.
Common questions
Can I remove this watermark later?
Keep the original. The downloaded watermark is merged into the pixels and is not an editable layer.
Does changing a filename require processing again?
No. The current names are used for single downloads, ZIP and continuous processing.
Can I use my logo on another device?
Presets are stored in this browser, not synced across devices. Select the logo again on the other device.
